CWP: Event Formats and Organization
The partners of Cable Wake Parks have been part of hosting more events than anyone in the world. Because of that experience we are always innovating and improving our methods to keep up with this ever changing industry. Here are just a few of the examples:
• First to utilize the Head-to-Head format at TSR's Fall Festival in 2003.
• First to combine boat and cable and winch competitions into a single event
• First to put multiple riders on the course at the same time for a strucure only jam session format.
• We work with sponosrs to create unique new formats that are focussed around fun and industry growth. LF Relentless weekend and the Scion Open in KC are two perfect examples.
• Weekly grassroot tournaments that help grow customer loyalty at your facility.
Cable Wake Parks also prides itself in utilizing the fairest methods possible in judging a subjective sport. Pictured above is the current scoring system that breaks down a riders run into the use of sliders, use of kickers, air tricks and composition. The different areas are then waited differently for different levels of riders. This helps the progression of the sport and also helps the athletes progress quicker. The judges hand write the scores and tricks and then use a specially formatted spread sheet to tabulate the scores quickly.
College Course: Texas State
TSR currently offers 5 classes with up to 250 students per semester. This class has quickly become a favorite at Texas State and is an ideal outlet for word of mouth advertising with the students.
